Your dog’s health and safety are our main concerns. Please take a moment to look over the policies which help insure a positive grooming experience for your animal. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Senior Pets & Pet with Health Problems: Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or a pet with health problems, and can expose hidden medical conditions or irritate existing ones, during or after the grooming. Senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury; therefore, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort in styles that will not add to their stress
Mat Removal: Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn so limit their exposure outside.In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. As the owner, you are responsible for the condition of your pet’s coat and will not hold Furry & Fabulous Mobile Grooming responsible in the event of adverse effects of mat removal.
Appointments: Furry & Fabulous Mobile Grooming requires all clients be on a a 6 week (or less) schedule for grooming. While some infrequent circumstances will cause your appointment to fall later than 6 weeks (such as a holiday or a reschedule) Furry & Fabulous can not service your pet(s) if you chose to go longer than 6 weeks.
Our appointment schedule is very tightly booked for specific areas. If you cannot keep your appointment, we require at least 48 hour advance notice, so that we may fill your spot. Failure to cancel in advance will result in a charge of $35 that must be paid prior to your next appointment. If Furry & Fabulous arrives at your location and you or your pet are not available through no fault of Furry & Fabulous, the full price of the groom for your pet(s) will be charged to you.
Cancellations: On rare occasions, Furry & Fabulous Mobile Dog Grooming may need to cancel appointments due to either, weather, road conditions, equipment failure, etc. Every effort will be made to contact you in advance. We will make every effort to reschedule your pet(s) as quickly as possible and as conveniently as possible.
Returned Check Fee: All grooming fees must be paid at the time services are rendered, no exceptions. Invoices are due within 24hrs. Checks returned due to insufficient funds will be subject to a $40.00 returned check fee.
Vaccinations: All dogs being groomed must be up to date on Rabies and DHLPP vaccinations. Pets will not be groomed without these. You may get a copy from your vet and either text us a copy or e-mail it to us. Vaccination records must be sent 48hrs prior to your appointment.
